Hey, I just watched that show...Lars and the Real Dolls on DVD and have also seen a documentary a while back on this 'Real Doll's' stuff. It is so fasinating. On the doco the guys that had these dolls where SO in love with them.... it was recorded in america...... do you think NZer's have them stashed away here too?

When you say that they were in love w/ their "real dolls", do you mean that they found it unnecessary to be w/ a real person, and thus, a real relationship? Or did I read that wrongly and they love what real dolls can do?

Hi, yes I meant that they emotionally fell in 'love' with these real dolls. They dressed them, sat them at the breakfast table, took them to the park, and even took them to other peoples places for dinner!! I am assuming that they also loved what they can do, but the weird bit was more about the emotional connection with these dolls..... it was so interesting. Did anyone else see the documentary 9-12mths ago? I would love to hear your thoughts...

hmmmm...personally I am not all that inclined to want to drop about six grand US on some (albeit very very well constructed) latex I am sure there must be many folks who would love to indulge in this fetish.

Hi everyone

I tried digital_sinnah's link and it first came up with some notice. If the picture doesn't load up, check your address bar and see that it's identical to the link. When I checked it, I only checked if the file name - "rui_set3_16.jpg" was the same at the end of the link. If they are, click into the address bar so that the cursor is there and press Enter. Alternatively, you can try to refresh it, but that didn't work for me on Firefox.

As for using real dolls, I'm really into my intimate contact, which includes eye contact and hearing & feeling my partner breathing. Dolls I'd be interested in trying once or twice, but I don't see myself getting too connected with them, even as a sex toy.

But in saying that, I haven't tried it so who knows, I COULD change my mind.

Not something i cud see myself getting into. I mean the normal inflatables are good for a party gag but i wudnt see myself actually using one. The real thing is too much fun.

Also i agree with digital_sinnah. Not keen on wasting 6 grand on a piece of latex. I can think of better things to spend that on. I mean they look fab and all. But nothing will top the real thing.

hmmmm...sorry about the bad links Aex. I also use FireFox and a scriptblocker program but I had no issues with the links.

Hi all, haven't been on here for a while - and I had so much reading to catch up on. hey, thanks for the link - couldn't beleive it - those things look sooo real! I can see why poeople could get attached. - do you know if they have boy dolls?
