I'm single at the moment, and have been for a while. My girlfriends and I were talking over coffee about "going it alone' and it was a very interesting conversation. Some thought it was fine, and some thought it wasn't... some that had partners, still had time alone to play and others (like me) thought that it was only ok to self-please if you are single!

I agree with Sparkypn - both me and my boyfriend masturbate. Sometimes we do it together and sometimes we do it apart, but we tell each other when we have and what we were fantasising about at the time. It can be a real turn on. I'm w/ Jan123 on this one, masturbation has a bit of a stigma to it, which while I can understand, I think its value is greatly diminished. It's a way of recognising how your own body works in a sexual encounter and can help you identify what you and your body do and do not like.
