Discomfort During Sex - For Her

Postby AexCN625 » Sat Dec 27, 2008 6:30 pm

Hi Sarah

My girlfriend and I don't have sex very often - which isn't a big issue for me. What is a big issue for me is that she is in a good deal of physical discomfort upon penetration when we intercourse.

Her natural lubricant does help but we've had to resort to using other types of lubricants to make it more comfortable for her. Things go great, until she climaxes and finds it very uncomfortable to continue. Are you able to shed any light on this? Have I left some things out to help you?

Cheers

Hi there, thanks for your question and welcome to the forum! It is not uncommon for a woman to experience discomfort during sex and it is also not uncommon for a womans natural lubrication to not be enough for long lasting lubrication. It might be wise to visit the docotor to make sure she isn't experiencing vaginal dryness. If not, there are a number of great lubes that will go the distance - particularly the Probe range, or the Oil-Based Yes Lube (not compatible with condoms though). And remember - dont be economical with lube - the wetter the better! The reason she might experienced heightened discomfort after she has orgasmed is because the female genitals are incredible sensitive post-climax. For many women, the area feels uncomfortable to touch, let alone continue penetration. So it might be best to work on techniques (like stopping and starting) that help you to both climax together so that you can withdraw at a more comfortable time for her. Hope that helps :)

Hi Sarah

Cheers for the quick reply, didn't think I'd get one until the new year :D

I just have a followup question. I don't want to sound like I'm comparing but my previous girlfriend was capable of continuing after climaxing. I am curious to know if it's really down to each individual's capacity to continue or whether it's just a matter of time before they can manage the sensations.

The reasons why I ask this is because my previous girlfriend is 10 years older than my current and is a lot more experienced, so I'm wondering whether those two (and/or other factors) could play a part.

Cheers

It might also be a good idea that she gets checked out at the doctor for Thrush or something similar. This can cause quite a bit of discomfort during sex! :|

Hey smiles

Cheers for your input and welcome to the forum :)

We had already seen a GP about it and she couldn't find anything. She suspects that her recent (at the time, recent) introduction to sexual activity MAY have something to do with it. We haven't come across the need to see the GP again.

Hi there, Hey I am certainly no doctor, but try googling "Vestibulitis". It is an interesting condition, and it might just be worth reading up about. There was someone talking about it on the Good Morning Show in Oct, so perhaps check it out. Hope this helps :)
